2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

We collect information you provide when you:

  • Create an account. Name, email address, phone number, physical address, school affiliation, and student information such as name, grade, and classroom.
  • Make a purchase or donation. Transaction details including amounts, dates, and order information. Your payment card information is processed directly by Stripe — FutureFund never receives or stores your card numbers.
  • Communicate with us. Feedback, questions, comments, suggestions, or support requests you submit.
  • Provide student information. Parents, guardians, and school administrators may provide student names, grades, classrooms, photos, and health or allergy information through our Platform. This information is provided by adults on behalf of students — we do not collect information directly from students.
  • Create content. Text, images, and other content you upload or create using our Services.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Sites or Apps, we automatically collect:

  • Usage information. Pages visited, features used, frequency of access, click activity, session duration, and timestamps.
  • Device information. Hardware model, operating system, browser type, IP address, and device identifiers.
  • Location information. Approximate location based on your IP address. In the Turnsite app, precise GPS location may be collected with your permission.
  • Mobile app data. Camera and photo library access (Turnsite, ReimburseBee), push notification tokens, and mobile network information.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies on our Sites. The tracking technologies used differ between our properties:

  • School Sites use only essential cookies necessary for the Platform to function (session management, security). School Sites do not use advertising pixels, Google Analytics, or social media trackers.
  • Our Site, Support Site, and BeeKeeper use essential cookies plus analytics and advertising technologies, including Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel. These help us measure the effectiveness of our marketing and improve our Services. See Section 6 for more detail.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our Services.
  • Process transactions and send related notices (receipts, confirmations, invoices).
  • Communicate with you via email, SMS, or push notifications about your account, orders, or our Services.
  • Send marketing communications (with your consent where required).
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our Sites, Apps, and Platform.
  • Aggregate and anonymize data for benchmarking and analytics.
  • Power AI features such as content generation and translation.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Organizational Sharing

  • FutureFund Connect. If your organization uses FutureFund Connect, account data may be shared with your PTA Council, District, and/or State Association as part of the organizational hierarchy.
  • FutureFund accounts. Account owner information may be disclosed for administrative purposes. Data may be shared with your School District if required.
  • Schools and school districts. Our School Sites share information with their applicable school and/or school district when requested for audit, compliance, or operational review purposes.

Other Circumstances

  • Corporate transactions. We may share your information if FutureFund is involved in a merger, acquisition, consolidation, change of control, or sale of assets, or in connection with bankruptcy or liquidation proceedings.
  • Legal requirements and safety. We will share information where legally required (court orders, legal process), to exercise or defend legal rights, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FutureFund, our users, or others.
  • With your consent. We will request your permission before sharing your information for purposes not described in this Policy.

5. Payment Processing & PCI Compliance

All payment card transactions are processed by Stripe. FutureFund never receives, processes, or stores your payment card numbers. We maintain PCI DSS compliance by never handling raw card data. We do retain transaction records (amounts, dates, and order details) for your account history, customer support, and audit purposes.

6. Advertising & Tracking Technologies

We use the following advertising and analytics technologies on Our Site (futurefund.com), Support Site (support.futurefund.com), and BeeKeeper:

  • Google Ads conversion tracking — measures the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — measures advertising performance and enables remarketing.
  • Google Analytics — analyzes website traffic and user behavior.

These tracking technologies are NOT used on School Sites. School Sites use only essential cookies for Platform functionality.

Opting out: You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through browser settings. You can opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): We honor Global Privacy Control signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.

7. SMS/Text Messages

We use ClickSend to send SMS/text messages. We send two types of messages:

  • Transactional messages — one-time passwords (OTP), order confirmations, and account notifications.
  • Marketing messages — promotional communications about our Services.

Consent: You will be asked to provide explicit opt-in consent (via checkbox) before receiving marketing text messages. Phone number verification constitutes consent for verification texts only.

Opt-out: You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your account activity.

8. Children's Privacy

FutureFund does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. Student information (names, grades, classrooms, photos, and health or allergy data) is provided to our Platform by parents, guardians, and school administrators — not by children themselves.

If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete that information. Parents and guardians may contact us at support@futurefund.com to review or request deletion of their child's information.

9. AI & Automated Processing

FutureFund uses artificial intelligence to power certain features, including content generation, language translation, and recommendations. These features are designed to assist users and improve our Services.

We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on you. Where AI-generated content is used, you may contact us to request alternatives.

10. Data Security

We maintain reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access. We recommend using a unique password for your FutureFund account that you do not use for other services.

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.

11. Data Retention

  • Active accounts: We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide you with Services.
  • After account deletion: Your data is retained for 30 days to allow for recovery, then permanently deleted.
  • Financial and transaction data: Retained for up to 7 years for audit, tax compliance, and regulatory purposes.
  • Inactive or unpaid accounts: We reserve the right to delete all data associated with accounts that have been inactive for six (6) months or more, or where fees remain unpaid for sixty (60) days or more. We will make a reasonable attempt to notify the account owner via email prior to deletion.
